Investiture Ceremony

“Where dreams are raised, and destinies are shaped; investiture is a celebration of leadership”.

The sun dawned on this momentous day of 4th August 2023 as we delegated responsibilities to the budding leaders of the school to lead the institution with their commitment, confidence, and competence.

NPS East held the solemn ceremony with great elan! Evoking the Almighty’s blessings with the school prayer, and moving on to the Pledge as an Indian, the welcome culminated in a scintillating Bharatnatyam dance. This was followed by the student council marching with military precision onto the stage. As they took their designated seats, glimpses of the mechanics of the election process were showcased.

The Principal, the embodiment of wisdom, shared deep insights of true leadership characteristics such as self-awareness, self-reflection and self-regulation, thus passing on the rich legacy of values to the young incoming student council.

The sashes were adorned on the new leaders by the Director, with the respective parents of the council member proudly pinning the badges. Following this was the handing over of the school and house flags to the council members, formally investing in the students their respective roles. The Principal administered the oath to the newly elected ‘Prefectorial Body’.

The Director delivered a pertinent speech, acquainting the newly appointed prefects with their expected conduct. The school hymn, melodiously sung by the school choir, with its perfectly crafted lyrics, echoed in the multipurpose hall, and seemed like it would reverberate after generations come and go, evolving a feeling of nostalgia in the hearts of the listeners. Finishing with true nationalistic fervour, the National Anthem was sung, keeping in sync with the Indian philosophy of Atithi Devo Bhava, a token of appreciation was presented to all the honourable dignitaries with heartfelt gratitude.
