INDEPENDENCE DAY REPORT

“We must never forget that freedom is never free” - Martin Luther King Jr. As our nation celebrated its 77th Independence Day on Tuesday, August 15th 2023, NPS East resonated with the essence of this auspicious day. Here at our school, the atmosphere reverberated with patriotic fervor. Right from the tricolored buntings to the attire worn by all staff present, the nationalistic feeling was clearly upheld. The myriad items put up by our most talented students spoke volumes about their reverence for our motherland and our forefathers, who laid down their lives to get us this freedom we enjoy today. The Chief Guest and the Principal elaborated on the concept of 'Independence', reminding the students about what was expected of them, in order to keep the efforts going. In its broadest perspective, freedom from our weaknesses and living up to our true potential, was the message delivered. To conclude, in the words of Henry Wordsworth Longfellow: “Lives of great men all remind us We can make our lives sublime, and departing leave behind us Foot prints on the sands of time.”
